Kerri graduated from Royal Roads University with a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training in 2006, and went on to complete certificates in negotiation (2012) and third-party mediation (2013) from the Justice Institute of British Columbia. She also has a certificate in Public Participation from the International Association for Public Participation.
Kerri is a listed member of both Family Mediation Canada and the International Association of Facilitators. She does freelance mediation, conflict coaching, parent support, and group facilitation along with women’s leadership workshops. Kerri writes monthly articles about parenting teenagers, and has been teaching peer counselling in association with the International Re-Evaluation Counseling Communities since 1997.
Kerri has a son who recently attained a Bachelor’s degree in business administration. Over the years Kerri lived with her son and his dad, lived with just her son, and for a short time lived apart from both of them. They also lived together in a communal house with another family for about 2 years. She has single parented, co-parented, and parallel parented. Kerri is proud to be a water-homebirth mama and even prouder to have successfully ‘launched’ her only child.
